May 8 Update

Greetings, Pfeiffer Families! Here is your weekly update.

This week, our Connected Learning attendance took a strong dive. There are 50 Pfeiffer students who did not participate in any way this week. I know there is a lot going on in all of our lives right now and that we are all doing our best. Please remember that the work students are doing now will help them prepare for the next grade level. We don’t want anyone falling behind during this time. Please reach out if we can help.

I’d like to offer a few reminders for everyone this week.

 -  The 2020 Census is here and it is incredibly important that you fill this document out. The information collected in the census informs policy decisions and funding decisions for our schools. It’s important that we have accurate information about the population of our neighborhoods. Please complete the census this weekend.

 - Spring Pictures have still not arrived from Lifetouch. We are attempting to find out where the delay is, but will get those pictures to you as soon as we can.

 - Please remember to take part in our lunch program. Lunch is served Monday through Thursday at Pfeiffer from 9:30 - 11:30.

 - If your child's APS Chromebook breaks, it can be taken to Kenmore Garfield High School from 9:30 - 11:30am Monday through Thursday for replacement.

 - If you do not have internet access, or your internet access is spotty, APS has an entire team of people working on getting 100% of our families connected. Please call or email me or your child’s classroom teacher and we will get you on the Connectivity list.

  - For the most up to date information on what is going on in APS, please be sure to visit the district website at

 - Be on the lookout on Monday morning announcements for specific student shout outs for being i-Ready Rock Stars and Connected Learning All Stars from each classroom!

As always, I’d like to end our week with our Pfeiffer mission statement:

We, as a Pfeiffer family, will be respectful and responsible. We will persevere in our learning in order to achieve and succeed in our school, our community, and our world.

Thank you, again, for all of your hard work! I hope you are all staying safe and healthy. Have a great weekend, everyone.
