Pharon Hranko has been in the field of education her entire life. From going to school with both of her grandmothers to help in their classrooms, to leading after school programs for students and enrolling in the early educators program at her high school, education has always been her passion. Mrs. Hranko loves working with both children and teachers to ensure the best learning experience possible each year.

Mrs. Hranko is from Wooster, Ohio where she currently lives with her husband, young daughter, and four cats. She attended Wittenberg University for her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a focus on reading. She also attended The American College of Education for her Master’s level degree in Educational Leadership. After college, she started her career as a 3rd grade teacher in Charlotte, North Carolina, moved to New York City and taught 2nd grade in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and then moved back to Ohio and taught 2nd grade in Cleveland before becoming the founding Principal of a K-5 elementary community school there. She then transitioned to the campus leader of two K-5/K-8 elementary community schools at the same time in Cleveland. Mrs. Hranko moved back to her hometown of Wooster, and with that move became a K-8 elementary school principal at a community school in Akron before starting her work with Akron Public Schools. Once in APS, Mrs. Hranko was the Dean of Students at Rimer CLC and Leggett CLC before becoming the Principal at Pfeiffer Elementary.

Mrs. Hranko firmly believes that every student has the ability to learn and should have the opportunity to receive a high quality education no matter their circumstances or zip code.

Mrs. Hranko invites parents to be partners in their child’s education, and to communicate their needs with her and the team at Pfeiffer.
